Winter Sports: Targee and Kelly Canyon ski areas within driving distance, plenty of yearly snowfall for cross country skiing and snowmobiling.

Fishing & Hunting: Blue Ribbon Trout streams, Fall River, the Teton River, and Henry's Fork of the Snake are within one to five miles of Chester Foothills Acreages. Eastern Idaho is hunter friendly and offers abundant opportunities for game birds, dear, and elk.

Horseback Riding and Cycling: The local hills and parks offer many trails for horses and bicycles with some of the most scenic areas in the country.

Golf: Fremont County Colf Course is a four-mile drive from Chester.
